Christmas comes early as Sandicliffe Suzuki posts rise in sales

8th December 2008 Print
Sandicliffe Suzuki Sandicliffe Suzuki, in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, has reported a 10 per cent increase in sales year-to-date compared to the same period to the end of November last year, as a greater number of motorists seek to make their money go further and move away from models with high fuel consumption.

At a time when many retailers in the UK are struggling to meet their quarterly targets, the Suzuki dealer on Portland Road (Hucknall) which has a loyal customer base extending to Nottingham and Mansfield, is on course to achieve 150 per cent of its sales objective for the last three months of 2008, which would surpass the total volumes achieved in 2007 prior to the current economic slowdown.

41 per cent of customers have opted to take advantage of Suzuki’s highly-competitive finance deals since January this year in addition to the three years of free road tax which is available on models including the popular SX4 1.6-litre sports crossover. This figure, up 4 per cent for the same period in 2007, equates to a rise of £1,056,000 in the value of credit arrangements, as consumers increasingly turn to the Japanese manufacturer’s Personal Contract Plan as a cheaper alternative to loans offered by high street banks.

Commenting on the trend, Darren Wheeldon, Sales Manager for Sandicliffe Suzuki explains: “As the recession begins to hit the UK, motorists are becoming even more selective when buying a new car, and are shopping around for the best deals, whilst also taking into consideration the long term running costs. Suzuki is in the privileged position to have a product offering which boasts exceptional value for money which makes buying a new car that much more affordable.”
