Suzuki supports Fire Fighters Charity

On Sunday 17 May 2009 Suzuki GB will be at Hullavington Airfield, near Chippenham in Wiltshire supporting the Ladies Driving Challenge at the Fire Fighters Charity event. The event is part of the 50th anniversary of Swindon Fire Station and will provide ladies and their families and friends with a fun filled day of driving a wide variety of vehicles.

Ladies will have the opportunity to test drive the new Suzuki Alto and Splash models through a series of obstacle courses with the opportunity to win some special prizes.

The new Suzuki Alto is the lowest emitting five-door petrol family car on the market. It is the latest model in the Suzuki line-up and is powered by a three-cylinder 68 bhp 1.0-litre engine producing emissions of just 103 g/km with manual transmission. With consumers focusing on cutting costs as the economic climate becomes even more difficult, motorists are increasingly turning to smaller cars which offer low CO2 and running costs. With a combined consumption of 64.2 mpg, the Alto also has the lowest insurance group rating of 1E and qualifies for £35 annual road tax (VED Band B).

The Suzuki Splash is a compact car at just over 3.7 metres long, ideal for manoeuvring whether it be around obstacles at Hullavington, on the daily commute or school run. It comfortably seats five adults with plenty of legroom and luggage space. The high seating position makes for easy entry and exit, while folding down the 60:40 split rear seat opens up 573 litres of luggage space (VDA), including a handy waterproof compartment beneath the boot floor. Prices start from £8,750 for the 1.0-litre GLS model.
