Suzuki Alto Suzuki GB’s newest addition to the model range, the Alto, took part in this year’s Revolve Eco-Rally from Brighton to London on Monday 8 June 2009. The Alto achieved spectacular results completing the 76 mile journey using less than six litres of fuel.

The Eco-Rally, organised by Revolve and opened by TV Presenter Quentin Willson, started at Madeira Drive in Brighton at 10am. With a pit-stop at the flagship Sainsbury’s in Greenwich, the Rally finished at 3pm at City Hall, London where the participates were met by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. The Mayor of London commented; “The Revolve Eco-Rally is a great way to promote the use of less polluting, low carbon transport which I am also championing in the capital.”

Speaking about the event, Alun Parry commented; “The Eco-Rally has been a fantastic opportunity for Suzuki to show its commitment to producing cleaner, lower emission-producing cars. The Alto has proved today that not only does it keep up with the “pack” but it can do so in a clean and efficient way, producing only 103g/km emissions and a combined fuel consumption of more than 64mpg.”

Having recently tested the Alto, Autocar remarked; “The Suzuki Alto is a small car which does all the things very small cars used to do simply, honestly, without frills and with lots of interactivity.”
