The exclusive La Perla Bai Tram Hideaway Retreat in Vietnam’s Phu Yen province has been rebadged as Bai Tram Hideout, after being taken over by recently-established management company Epikurean Villas Hotels & Hideouts.

The luxurious property, which was previously known as La Perla, joined Epikurean’s impressive portfolio on 15th November 2010.

Bai Tram Hideout sits on a spectacular 90-hectare plot with 900 metres of private white sand beach. The property is wonderfully-located on the coast just south of Qui Nhon, which is served by a daily Vietnam Airlines flight and rail service. It can also be reached by a scenic half-day drive from Nha Trang to the south.

Comprising seven luxurious one and two-bedroom private pool villas, Bai Tram Hideout is so secluded that there is a no other resort in sight. Plans are underway to bring the total number of pool villas to just fourteen, maintaining the utopia of exclusivity. The accommodations are designed to complement traditional Vietnamese style and feature large open areas and outdoor living spaces.

From thatched roofs to solid wood and bamboo materials, the Hideout has been developed using natural materials and eco-sensitivity. The interiors deliver a high level of comfort and luxury with air-conditioning, king-size beds, and five-star facilities. The oversized bathrooms offer indoor and outdoor showers and gardens complete with hammock.

Freshly-caught lobster is a highlight of the beach-front restaurant, together with rice grown in the Hideout’s own fields. With a distinct Vietnamese focus, the cuisine is based on locally-produced organic produce. Intimate dining options also include private dining in the rice field, on the beach, in-villa and amongst the hillside coconut palms at sunset.

Heavenly spa treatments such as massages, body scrubs and pampering can be carried out in-villa or at the Bai Tram Hideout Spa. Wellness activities include Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi classes. In addition, a host of expeditions such as boat journeys, fishing, biking, jogging, kayaking and visits to the local market of Xuan Canh and rice-winery can be arranged for guests.

“Epikurean sees Bai Tram Hideout as the perfect fit to our philosophy, which focuses on today’s trends and lifestyle aspirations”, said Epikurean CEO, Andres Fernandez. “Epikurean strives to deliver hospitality concepts where its partners, guests and hosts embrace Epicureanism: The philosophy of enjoying life through the pleasure of the eyes, tastes and soul, indulging and enhancing the art of good living".
