New Redrow homes in Stafford will boost buyers’ choice and offer something for everyone – from those starting out, to growing families and downsizers alike.

The award-winning housebuilder has detailed consent to build 145 homes in Doxey Road.

The 19.5 acre site was previously used for industrial purposes but also included an area of open ground and leisure facilities. It is now being transformed to offer a choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes from Redrow’s critically acclaimed New Heritage Collection.

Matthew Pratt, managing director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), commented: “The New Heritage Collection is a premium housing product that’s been wowing customers across the country. We’re confident these traditional looking, high specification homes will be equally as popular in Stafford, where we’ll be catering for first time buyers, growing families, downsizers and everything in between.”

Designed in response to customer feedback, the New Heritage Collection is a premium housing product combining the best of old and new. Behind traditional exteriors, inspired by the architecture of the Arts and Crafts movement, the properties hide bright modern interiors styled with 21st century living in mind.

Arts and Crafts inspired features will be seen to varying degrees on the new homes in Stafford, including dropped eaves, projecting plinths, bays and other distinctive window styles, plus timber or tiled canopies over doors and windows. .

Inside they will boast family friendly features with an emphasis on convivial open plan living spaces. Contemporary kitchens will benefit from the convenience of integrated top brand name appliances and floor to ceiling units that offer plenty of storage; while statement-making bathrooms will enjoy quality fixtures and fittings.

“The New Heritage Collection offers a timeless solution to modern living. The combination of traditional exteriors and stylish interiors means customers can enjoy the charm and character of an older property but without any of the draw backs,” Matthew commented.

“Because new-build homes tend to be more energy efficient than their older second hand counterparts, homeowners could save money on their utility bills. Plus they won’t be inheriting someone else’s decor or DIY disasters, but will enjoy the peace of mind of a 10-year ‘Buildmark’ warranty.”

Just a mile from Stafford train station and with easy access to the M6, the development known as Castle View enjoys strong transport links.

In addition to the new homes, Redrow will provide public open space for residents to enjoy along with play areas and a BMX park.

The developer will also make contributions to education and road improvements in the area.

Castle View is due to be launched early in the New Year when show homes are due to open.
