David Wilson Homes North East has unveiled two superb showhomes at its exclusive Riverside Crescent development in Blaydon.

They are the company’s first showhomes in the region and feature elegant interiors with top-quality fittings and finishes, giving visitors a flavour of what living at this select development will be like.

“We are delighted to open our first showhomes so buyers can see for themselves the superior quality of the homes we’re building here," said Fenton Hewitt, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes North East.

“We believe our new homes will be among the finest on the market, with spacious interiors, thoughtful designs, the highest specifications and great attention to detail.”

The Riverside Crescent showhomes are the work of local interior design company Anne Raine Interiors.

The first, a 4-bedroom ‘Alder’ detached house, has a nautical theme appropriate for its waterside setting with a casual, relaxed feel using varying shades of blue, checks, stripes, white wood and natural fabrics.

The ground-floor family/dining room includes taupe painted walls, denim blue sofa and glass dining table, while the adjoining kitchen has cream units with granite worktops.

The first floor living room features blue wallpaper with horizontal silver stripes, pale cream sofas and off-white furniture, and has French windows opening onto a private roof terrace.

The second showhome is a ‘Hudspith’ 3-bedroom townhouse, which Anne has decorated in a French style to create a sophisticated, modern family home. This design features an open-plan kitchen/family/dining room with French windows leading into the garden, a light and spacious first-floor living room and roof terrace, and luxurious master bedroom with en-suite on the top floor.

David Wilson has established a reputation for building luxury properties around the UK and Riverside Crescent is one of its first developments in this region.

Fenton added: “The company has made its name for top-quality new homes and we’re looking forward to building on that in the North East. It’s early days but Riverside Crescent has already generated tremendous interest.”

The development will feature a selection of stylish 4 and 5-bedroom detached homes and 3-bedroom townhouses in contemporary exterior designs, many with terraces to make the most of their prime waterside setting on the south bank of the Tyne. Prices range from £210,000 to £350,000.

Riverside Crescent is in an ideal location for families, with a wide range of local leisure amenities and schools nearby. It’s convenient for commuting too, with public transport links and the A1 and A69 close by.

The showhomes are open from 10.00am to 5.00pm, Thursday to Monday.
