Persimmon is gearing up for the launch of two new Warrington sites

Persimmon Homes North West has announced ambitious plans to bring in excess of £44m worth of new build housing to Warrington.

The Manchester-based housebuilder has commenced work at its new Riverside development on Farrell Street, with a gross development value worth £43.2m. The scheme, built on the site of a former industrial unit, will ultimately feature in excess of 300 homes, incorporating a mix of apartments, semi detached and detached homes, and will help to meet the local housing need for the next seven years.

In addition, Persimmon has also started work to construct a brand new block of 12, one and two bedroom apartments at its Regency Park scheme on Bewsey Road, worth £1.2 million.

The duo follows on from the success of Persimmon’s Delaware Place development at Chapelford Urban Village which sold in just four months, and Neil Follows, managing director for Persimmon Homes North West, the developer behind the two new schemes, couldn’t be more pleased to be ploughing further investment into Warrington. He said: “There is an ongoing demand for new build properties in Warrington and we definitely feel that there is an air of optimism and confidence locally, and we are delighted to be responding to the current shortfall.

“The Farrell Street investment is great news for the local community and we can’t wait to welcome a new swathe of visitors to the development to show them how our plans will transform a former eye-sore into an aspirational place to live.”
