First time buyer makes move from rented to new in Stamford

Having decided to make Lincolnshire his new home, first time buyer Josh Kann is celebrating a place of his own in Stamford.
South African-born Josh moved to the county around a year ago, falling in love with Stamford and the surrounding area – which also meant him being closer to work.
However, having lived in rented accommodation since his arrival in the town, Josh decided to look for a home of his own, and has now taken his first step onto the property ladder with Stamford Homes.
Josh (30), a national account manager for the importation of fresh produce, said: “I wanted to stay in Stamford or the surrounding area but didn’t really want to continue renting. I found out about Stamford Homes’ Welland Park development and thought that a one-bedroom home would get me started.”
However on visiting the development Josh was made aware of several incentives designed to help first time buyers own their own home AND make a saving.
Josh saved around £10,000 through a five per cent gifted deposit scheme which enabled him to buy a trendy three-bedroom townhouse at Welland Park.
He said: “Without the incentive it is doubtful that I would have been able to afford such a wonderful house of my own. Stamford Homes took away all the hassle of the home buying process and were very thorough and prompt in answering any questions I had.”
Josh says he loves his new home and is now planning how to put his own artistic stamp on it.
Welland Park currently has a range of four and five-bedroom homes available, starting from £249,995. The sales and marketing suite is open daily from 10.30am until 5pm.
