The Sheriff of Nottingham, Councillor Penny Griggs, joined Peveril Homes at Burlington Place, its select development of just twenty-four new homes in Sherwood, this week to help commemorate National Tree Week, by planting a tree.

National Tree Week, which runs from 27th November to 5th December, is initiated by The Tree Council, which aims to promote the importance of trees and their preservation in a changing environment and The Sheriff of Nottingham was only too happy to be on hand and help with the ceremony.

Colin Wright, construction and technical director at Peveril Homes, comments: “We were delighted to welcome Cllr Griggs to our development in Sherwood. We realise the importance of preserving the beauty that trees and greenery afford, which is why we were compelled to contribute to the efforts of National Tree Week by planting a tree at our development and we were glad The Sheriff of Nottingham was able to do the honours, especially as it was such a wintry day!”

Ideally situated off Hucknall Road, Burlington Place provides a contemporary selection of twenty-four 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes and this development provides the perfect setting for new home owners whether you’re a first time buyer, couple or looking to downsize.

Add to this the benefits of buying a brand new home - lower energy bills courtesy of high energy efficiency standards and the fact that, with plain painted walls and crisp, white bathroom suites, your new home will be a blank canvas on which to stamp your own style - and it’s easy to see why homes here are proving popular.

Lying just three miles from the city centre, this exclusive development is ideally placed to make the most of what the city has to offer. But, if you want to keep things closer to home, Sherwood itself has a selection of shops and eateries for you to try at your leisure.

In addition to this, there’s a variety of good schools, both private and independent, making it a great choice for families and for those looking to commute, access to the M1 is excellent.

To find out more about how Peveril Homes can get you moving, come along and take a look at the show home, open Fridays to Mondays, 11am to 5pm.
