The easy way to buy a new home in Stoke

First time buyers in Stoke on Trent could find that home ownership is more affordable than they realised thanks to Redrow’s ‘easi:buy’ scheme.
Available on selected home at Water’s Edge in Hanley, ‘easi:buy’ enables customers to defer paying up to 15% of the cost of a brand new home.
Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), explained: “At Redrow we understand how frustrating it can be to be caught in the rental trap, when what you really want is a home of your own. With that in mind we’re offering would-be homeowners a lifeline with our ‘easi:buy’ scheme
“It’s the ideal way for first time buyers and others who may be struggling to find a mortgage to step on to the property ladder, as they should only require a 5% deposit and still have access to some of the more favourable interest rates normally reserved for those with large deposits or substantial equity in an existing home.”
With ‘easi:buy’ a one-bedroom apartment, on the market at £74,995, could be purchased for an initial outlay of just £63,746; while for a two-bedroom apartment, priced at £124,99, buyers would only need to pay £106,246 up front.
The outstanding balance can be repaid at any time over the 10 years when the purchaser has more funds available or when they come to resell.
“Apartments are a great choice for those starting out in life, but are also well suited to those starting over after a change of circumstance, such as a marriage or relationship breakdown, as well as downsizers, as they are easy to manage and efficient to run,” Elaine commented.
“And unlike renting, where you don’t have an asset to show for your hard earned cash at the end of the day, if you purchase a home at Water’s Edge and property prices increase over time, you could potentially find that the value of your investment has increased in years to come,” Elaine added.
The ‘easi:buy’ payment is subject to terms and conditions and the deferred element is paid back at market value at the time of payment.
Water’s Edge also includes a choice of family homes, with a four-bedroom ‘Trent’ style property on the market at £172,995. Customers with an existing property to sell may find that Redrow is willing to take it off their hands as part-payment for a brand new home.
To help customers understand how ‘easi:buy’ and part-exchange work, Redrow has produced easy to follow video guides to the schemes. They can be watched online at the housebuilder’s award-winning online television channel Redrow.TV.
“Increasingly we are seeing that purchasers research the local housing market online before viewing a property. With that in mind our broadband channel Redrow.TV enables customers to experience all that a Redrow home has to offer with show home videos, development films and ‘how to buy’ guides to explain the help available when purchasing a brand new Redrow home,” Elaine commented.
Juts minutes from the centre of Hanley, current availability at Water’s Edge includes properties overlooking the Caldon Canal.
