St Helens rugby star honoured by Taylor Wimpey

St Helens RLFC may have played its last game of rugby there, but Knowsley Road will always be remembered after house builder Taylor Wimpey North West named its new development, due to be built on the site of the former stadium, after the club’s hero Keiron Cunningham.
Officially unveiled as Cunningham Grange, the new development, which is launching in March, will bring a collection of one and two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom homes to St Helens.
On hearing that the development was to be called Cunningham Grange, Keiron, said: “Having played at Knowsley Road for most of my career the site has a special place in my heart, so to find out that Taylor Wimpey was naming their new development after me was a huge honour. Even though I have now hung up my rugby boots as a player, I hope that St Helens fans will look back in fondness at the success we achieved there.”
Amie Reeves, regional marketing manager for Taylor Wimpey North West, added: “We’re delighted to name our new development after such a well-loved local hero. St Helens RLFC is very important to the town and as someone who’s spent his entire career at the club, as well as scoring the final try at Knowsley Road, we felt it fitting to honour him in this way.”
When complete, Cunningham Grange will consist of 176 one and two bedroom apartments, three and four bedroom mews and four bedroom detached homes. To register your interest, visit: taylorwimpey.co.uk
