“We also found out that Taylor Wimpey would buy my house from me in part-exchange towards our new place, which worked out extremely well for us. Even the slightest things were taken care of by the Sales Executive, so that we didn’t have to worry about arranging anything, and we used Taylor Wimpey’s free home removals package, which looked after everything on moving day.”
Although there wasn’t a ‘Fermain’ showhome open for Jacqui and Andrew to view at the development in Birstall, they were quite happy to visit one at Taylor Wimpey’s Briars Chase development in Ilkeston.
In fact, even after they had decided it was the house style for them, they were so thrilled they went back to Ilkeston a second time, to have another look and to measure up for furnishings.
Andrew (33), a skilled cabinet-maker, has made bespoke furniture for their new home, and the couple have chosen a number of personalised finishing touches from Taylor Wimpey.
“We’re really enjoying life together in our new home,” says Andrew. “It’s fairly central for my work, and handy for the A6. It’s just what we wanted and we can see ourselves living here for a long time.”
Jacqui and Andrew were among the first to move to Cedar Walk, and with two of their nearest neighbours also called Andrew, and more people moving in this New Year, they’re wondering if the quirky coincidence will continue.
