13th January 2011 Print

Since Jet2.com launched its new Edinburgh Malaga route on 9th of December it has proved extremely popular, exceptional demand has prompted the airline to add an additional Monday morning flight service to the Costa Del Sol.

The additional flight will operate from 23rd May to 24th October departing Edinburgh at 09:00 arriving in Malaga at 13:15 and returning at 13:50 landing in Edinburgh at 16:05. The new flight complements the Jet2.com flights already on sale for Wednesday and Saturdays which commence on 2nd April 2011. Flight prices start from just £29.99 one way including taxes.

Since going on sale the Malaga flights have proved popular with both Scottish holidaymakers and also ex-pats who live in the Costa Del Sol and are booking the route to visit friends and family back home. The Monday flight will give customers more freedom to travel for a duration that means their needs and enables them to take a short break or 10 day holiday.

Philip Meeson, boss of Jet2.com said, “We are delighted with the take up of the Edinburgh Malaga flights and the demand has exceeded our expectations so we are providing additional capacity to enable more customers to enjoy flying with Jet2.com and experiencing our friendly low fares, convenient flight times, allocated seats and MyJet2 points that reward customer loyalty. “

Great value package holidays to Malaga and the Costa Del Sol region can also be booked with Jet2holidays, with prices starting from just £259 for a seven night break, including resort transfers, a generous 22kg baggage allowance and allocated seats, based on two people sharing.

Edinburgh travellers can take advantage of the Jet2holidays New Year offer of £75 off every Summer 2011 and Winter 2011/2012 holiday booked before the end of February.  To receive the £75 saving customers simply need to enter the promotional code ‘TVSAVE75’ when prompted at the time of booking.
