Chesterton Humberts freezes VAT on fees
Leading property consultancy, Chesterton Humberts, is giving property owners a break in the New Year by freezing VAT at 17.5% on fees earned through newly signed sales instructions between 4 January and 28 February 2011.
Chesterton Humberts will pay the extra 2.5% themselves, as long as sellers instruct the company as sole agents at their standard commission rate and contracts are exchanged on or before 30 April 2011.
Robert Bartlett, Chesterton Humberts CEO, comments: “We want to give property owners considering selling a bit of motivation. With prices rising across the board we want to do what we can to minimize the pain.”
