Simplyhealth named best health insurance provider

3rd February 2011 Print

Simplyhealth has been named best health insurance provider at the Consumer Moneyfacts Awards 2011 after being voted for by consumers.

It joins the clutch of awards that the company has won in the last year. These include best health related insurer at the Personal Finance Awards and best health cash plan provider at the Investment Life and Pensions Moneyfacts Awards.

Jo Kennedy, Head of Customer Service Operations at Simplyhealth said: "Winning this award is a great achievement, as we were up against some big names in our highly competitive industry. The awards were voted for by thousands of consumers which make them extra special.

"We're bothered about backing up our affordable private medical insurance and health cash plans with outstanding personal service. The fact that so many customers took the time to vote for us shows that they've had a positive experience with Simplyhealth. That's exactly what we always strive for and we'd like to thank all of those who voted for us."

The Consumer Moneyfacts Awards are designed to recognise the best ‘all round' products with the widest appeal. The winners were chosen by taking an average score for each provider as voted for by the public, ensuring fairness across responses from different sized organisations.

Other finalists in the health insurance category were Aviva UK Health, Axa PPP Healthcare, Bupa, CS Healthcare, Standard Life Healthcare, Tesco and WPA.
