Help for first time buyers in Altrincham

Buying your first home is a big step but would-be homeowners could discover it’s easier than they realised thanks to Redrow.
To help first time buyers step onto the property ladder Redrow is hosting a special event at The Willows at Stamford Brook, Altrincham, this weekend (February 12 and 13).
“Buying a home, particularly your first, is a big decision and it can seem daunting but at Redrow we’re here to help. To ease the burden of saving a large cash deposit and having to find the funds to kit out your new home we’re offering first time buyers a lifeline in the shape of a 5% gifted contribution towards their deposit. Plus we’ll also include carpets in selected properties reserved this weekend,” Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), commented.
“Our team of friendly, experienced sales consultants will happily guide customers through the home buying process, making it as simple and as straight forward as possible. And this weekend they will be joined on site by an independent financial adviser who will be on hand to assist potential purchasers.”
Selected properties at The Willows will be ready to move into in March.
A customer buying a two-bedroom ‘Fern’ style home, on the market at £169,995, could receive more than £8,000 towards their deposit from Redrow.
The ‘Fern’ features a combined kitchen/dining area with understairs storage, plus separate lounge and cloakroom on the ground floor; with two bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor.
Visitors to The Willows can get a feel of what it would be like to live in a ‘Fern’ style property with a visit to the view home. There’s also a fully furnished ‘Derwent’ show home that’s been dressed to impress by a team of professional interior designers.
“At Redrow we pride ourselves in building homes that people really want to live in and visitors to The Willows will be pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the properties. They include fully fitted kitchens with integrated top brand name appliances, plus tall units and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage; while bathrooms are sleek and modern with quality fixtures and fittings,” Elaine explained.
“It means that instead of buying a second hand home that perhaps comes with a smaller price tag but is in need of lots of modernisation, our customers can buy the home of their dreams at a price they can afford without the need for lots of repairs and renovations.”
And while the average new home 40% more efficient than one built just 10 years ago, homes at Stamford Brook are designed to be even more efficient in their use of energy, water and building materials. It means homeowners should save money on their utility bills.
The Willows is close to a Waitrose supermarket and enjoys easy access to both the Trafford Centre and Manchester City Centre.
Over at The Elms phase of Stamford Brook, Redrow has three more show homes available for viewing, showcasing the larger properties available.
The homes at Stamford Brook are built on land that once formed part of the National Trust’s Dunham Massey estate and will eventually boast seven hectares of community woodland, wildlife corridors, orchards and open spaces.
The first time buyer event at The Willows takes place this weekend (February 12 and 13) from 10am to 5.30pm. Visitors will be able to view the properties and speak to an independent financial adviser. For more information about the homes available, log onto: redrow.co.uk
