The Spanish island of Menorca will take to the streets of the UK this February and March to launch the “Menorca – Warm at Heart” campaign, aimed at enticing new and repeat visitors to the destination.

From 28th February to 14th March, Menorca will be captured and transported around the country in a specially designed bus visiting a range of cities including London, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Bristol.

This consumer facing campaign is a first for the Menorca Tourist Board and was developed to raise awareness for the destination through the promotion of the diverse experiences the island offers.

Menorca Minister for Tourism, Mr Lazaro Criado said, the “Menorca – Warm at Heart” campaign will highlight what the island is all about. Above and beyond its glorious beaches Menorca offers an array of activities including horse riding, kayaking, cycling, hiking and walking and we want to share this with the people of Britain”.

“The holiday destination is already well known and popular with the family market but we also think the island offers a magical romantic setting for couples as well as exhilarating thrills for the adventurous or young at heart to experience,” he said.

“This will be showcased through performances, tastings, crowd participation activities and prizes give-aways including a daily holiday for two to Menorca. In each city booking facilities will also be available on the bus so people can take advantage of fantastic deals then and there,” Mr Criado said.

Several Menorcan hoteliers and suppliers will join the Menorca Tourist Board on the 15-day adventure across the country to answer any questions and ensure there is something for everyone.

The “Menorca – Warm at Heart” campaign will also be supported by regional advertising, social media and Public Relations and the bus will visit various tour operators to provide on-the-spot destination training.
