Lexus Derby official opening

Inchcape Lexus’s recently opened prestigious new eight-car showroom in Derby marked its official opening with a customer evening at which senior executives from both Lexus and Inchcape were present.

Steve Settle, Lexus GB Director and André Lacroix, Inchcape’s Group Chief Executive joined invited guests to explore the innovative new showroom and see the facilities that the new retail Centre has to offer. In the Centre for a special viewing was the new LS 460 luxury saloon enabling guests to examine the new model at close quarters.

Inchcape Retail’s Lexus Franchise Director, David Waghorn, welcomed the guests and outlined how the opening of the new retail Centre in Derby was the result of a desire by both Lexus and Inchcape to offer customers the highest levels of service. “Our aim is to set ourselves apart from the competition, by providing the highest levels of customer service to Lexus owners.”

Steve Settle, Lexus GB Director, praised Inchcape for their faith in the Lexus brand and the investment and hard work that has been instrumental to its success. “Working with partners like Inchcape is vital for the continued growth of the brand and our reputation for customer service. Customer service is the key differentiator between us and our competitors and why Lexus has won every customer service award over the last six years from the prestigious J.D. Power Customer satisfaction Survey through to awards from influential magazines such as What Car?.”

Guests then viewed a short video presentation of the BBC’s Top Gear programme from 1990 when the Lexus LS 400 was first launched in the UK. Steve Settle underlining that since that time Lexus has continued to develop and evolve its ‘relentless pursuit of perfection’. He concluded his welcome by highlighting Lexus new performance Hybrid Drive and an insight into its new flagship LS 460.

General Manager Kelson Campbell said, “I’m delighted with the response to the new Centre from our customers this evening. They appreciate that our aim is to offer potential buyers and existing customers only the highest levels of service, and we’ll go that extra mile to offer that. This evening marks our official opening but we have plans for other local events to attract both private and business customers.”
