Early booking benefits at luxury Mallorca hotel
Located in the heart of the picturesque town of Soller on Mallorca’s dramatic west coast, the elegant eight bedroom boutique Hotel L’Avenida will be reopening for the 2011 season on 18th February (through to 31 October 2011) with a series of money saving and added value offers to help guests make the most of their stay at this exclusive townhouse hideaway.
The hotel has been voted one of the top 25 hotels in Spain for the second year running in the TripAdvisor 2011 Travellers' Choice Awards and with only eight bedrooms it really does pay to plan early.
For example, for those who have their dates in mind, the hotel is offering a 5% ‘Early Bird’ discount on an entire stay at the hotel for bookings make before the end of February 2011.
Alternatively, for guests paying in full at the time of booking, for any stay during 2011, the hotel is offering a 5% discount on the entire stay. These offers are non combinable.
The eight contemporary bedrooms comprise four doubles and four suites and are located on the three floors of the building. The suites on the second floor offer the greatest views of the surrounding Tramuntana Mountains with a four poster bed in two of these suites.
For bookings made in any category of room before the end of February 2011 and staying in March, April or October 2011 there is the possibility to upgrade the room to the next available room type free of charge, subject to availability, excluding the Luxury Suites.
For guests staying a minimum of four nights in a Luxury Suite in March, April or October 2011 the hotel is offering a complimentary Tapas dinner for two in the L’Avenida Bistro, including a bottle of house wine. The menu is offered on a Tuesday and Thursday night and includes traditional Spanish dishes such as Octopus “Gallega” with aioli potatoes and pan-fried chorizo, as well as some international favourites such as Duck with Asian Spiced Noodles.
Or book a Luxury Suite before the end of January 2011 and receive a complimentary lunch for two (excluding alcoholic drinks) in the L’Avenida Bistro. The modern Mediterranean lunch menu is served each day alfresco by the pool in the courtyard garden, with dishes such as ‘Grilled Scallops with Ginger Crème Fraiche and Chilli’ or ‘Brochette of Moroccan-spiced Chicken’ followed by ‘Pan Seared Red Tuna with Beetroot and Orange’. There is also a lounge bar and balcony to provide an area for pre-dinner cocktails and smoothies or fresh coffee and homemade cakes.
L’Avenida is within five minutes walking distance of Soller’s bustling town square and 10 minutes by tram from the quaint fishing harbour of Port Soller and its beach. New for this summer guests of Hotel L’Avenida can relax with exclusive access to complimentary sun loungers at Agapanto Beach Club in Port Soller where a bar service will keep them refreshed as they overlook the pretty little natural harbour.
The hotel offers a personalised Concierge Service and can put together a full range of activities including local yacht charter with beach picnic, hiking in the surrounding Tramuntana Mountains, private tennis lessons with a fully qualified coach, golf at nearby Son Termens 18 hole golf course, guided vineyard and local market tours. Or for a more relaxed option a range of aromatherapy treatments can be booked in the hotel’s wellness centre and yoga can be arranged at a nearby retreat of Puerto Soller.
Rooms rates start from €195 (£165) per room, per night for a standard room, rising to €275 (£232) for a luxury suite during March and April, excluding Easter, based on two people sharing a room for a minimum two night stay. From May to October 2011 rooms cost from €225 (£189) per room per night based on two people sharing a room for a minimum three night stay.
All prices include breakfast but exclude 8% local tax. Rooms will be discounted by €10 (£8.42) for single occupancy. To retain the peaceful ambiance of the hotel, children under 14 are not accepted unless the whole hotel is taken over for exclusive use for a minimum of seven nights.
The entire hotel may also be rented for special celebrations and parties at a cost of €4,000 (£3,367) for up to 22 people staying for one week on a self catering basis between 1 November and 15 December 2011.
The capital city, Palma and its airport is just 20 minutes drive away with airport transfers available at €55 (£46.30) one way or €100 (£84.16) return.
