First-time buyer Mark Dale is enjoying a double celebration – after bagging his dream home and a charity sponsorship deal.

The 25-year-old special needs teacher has moved into his stunning two-bedroom apartment at Taylor Wimpey’s Hey Mount development, in Heywood.

And when he told sales staff about a planned charity trip to Gambia they helped him out again – by securing a £250 donation from the national housebuilder to help him on his way.

“I can’t thank Taylor Wimpey and their staff enough,” says Mark, “We need every penny we can get so it’s going to make a real difference to the lives of the children we’ll be working with.”

Mark, who works with special needs children in Rochdale, Lancashire will use the money to visit a school for physically disabled youngsters in Gambia this April.

He and his colleagues need to raise more than £1,000 for their trip to train staff and provide equipment for patients and pupils at the struggling, church-funded centre.

“They really don’t have anything,” he says. “So anything we can do will be a bonus.

“We’re aiming to spend a week there helping to organise care, support staff and source much-needed equipment and Taylor Wimpey’s contribution is very much appreciated.”

Anthony Mansfield, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Manchester said: “We are really proud to be able to contribute and to be supporting such a good cause.

“We pride ourselves on always being there to help customers and to offer them a helping hand in whichever way we can.

“We’ll be keeping in touch to see how the visit goes.”

Hey Mount, on Mount Street is a stylish development of two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom townhouses, the perfect choice for first time buyers, families or couples who wish to live close to the thriving community of Heywood. The townhouses now feature Taylor Wimpey’s new and improved specification, which includes integrated appliances, fitted wardrobes to the master bedroom fitted carpets and an alarm system. Prices start from £76,495 with Taylor Wimpey’s popular Easystart shared equity scheme.

Heywood itself boasts an abundance of green space with the historic Queens Park located in the heart of the town. Heywood enjoys some stunning countryside with the Ashworth and Roch valleys just on the doorstep.

For families wanting a larger home Hey Mount also features the three storey Cranage. This home is currently available through the part exchange scheme, which sees Taylor Wimpey buying the purchaser’s current house from them, removing all the pressure involved with selling their house and leaving them free to move into their new home.

The ground floor of the Cranage has a spacious living room with dining room with patio doors leading to the private rear garden, cloakroom and a superb kitchen with breakfast area. The first floor has the first two of the bedrooms and the family bathroom, while the second storey has a further two bedrooms, one with en-suite facilities. Each Cranage also has an allocated parking space. Prices start from £124,095.

There are also Cranage and Mobberley show homes and a Lyon show apartment at Hey Mount so visitors can experience the luxurious house first hand.

More information about Hey Mount is available at taylorwimpey.co.uk or by visiting the development itself, which is open Thursday to Monday, 11.00am until 5.00pm.
