Cold Chain appoints vrs to remarket Lexus lease cars

17th February 2009 Print
Cold Chain Vehicle Solutions, the specialist provider of refrigerated transportation for food stuffs and medical supplies, has appointed vrs, part of the Manheim Group, to remarket Lexus cars from its fleet of lease vehicles. The first batch of Lexus IS 220ds is coming off service in February and will be sold by vrs directly into Lexus franchise dealers via a dedicated electronic channel. This will allow the dealers to easily locate quality retail stock at the press of a button.

With many years of specialist remarketing expertise vrs is in a unique position to provide this brand repatriation programme of Lexus cars from the Cold Chain fleet to the Lexus dealer network.

Commenting on the new arrangements, Malcolm Topping, Commercial Director of Cold Chain Vehicle Solutions said: “The partnership with vrs will ensure that we will be able to remarket our Lexus models very effectively and hopefully benefit from strong interest in these cars from Lexus dealers. We have some very desirable ex-company vehicles and vrs has the remarketing expertise needed to maximise residual values in what is clearly a very tough market”

Lewis Arthur, Managing Director of vrs added: “we are delighted that Cold Chain Vehicle Solutions have chosen to work with us and in particular to use our brand repatriation service. This is a great example of an innovative remarketing programme for a forward thinking customer who has really embraced this concept. I am confident that the partnership will prove to be very successful and we look forward to working with Cold Chain Vehicle Solutions. It’s also great news for Lexus dealers with whom we have strong existing relationship, as they will get direct access to some highly desirable ex-fleet Lexus models.”
