Taylor Wimpey’s new homes for sale in Oldbury can save first-time buyers money compared with renting.

Aspiring homebuyers stuck in a rental rut are being urged to visit Taylor Wimpey’s Beresford Grove development of new homes for sale in Oldbury, West Midlands – and discover how they could cut their monthly outgoings by owning a brand new apartment.

Two-bedroom ‘Sandringham’ apartments within this sought-after collection of stylish homes are available from as little as £76,495 using the Easy Start shared equity scheme, which lets qualifying first-time buyers own new flats in Oldbury now from just 85% of the full purchase price.

With a deposit as low as 5% and an 80% mortgage, subject to status, customers purchasing selected new flats at the development and could find themselves paying typical mortgage repayments lower than their monthly rent.

Meanwhile, Taylor Wimpey provides 15% equity toward their new home as an interest-free loan repayable over a 10-year period at the market rate.

Jan Titley, Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, says: “Our first-time buyer package at Beresford Grove explodes the myth that renting is cheaper than buying a new property for sale in Oldbury.

“When you consider that the average cost of renting a two-bedroom Oldbury flat is nearly £500 a month*, the potential saving for someone buying their first home with us can be thousands of pounds each year.

“The only note of caution I will sound is that Easy Start is available with a strictly limited number of our brand new apartments, and so first-time buyers will have to act quickly if they want to avoid missing out!”

The two-bedroom ‘Sandringham’ apartment is an ideal starter home in Oldbury, benefitting from a spacious lounge, a separate fitted kitchen, plus two well-proportioned bedrooms and a main bathroom off the private entrance hallway.

Outside there are landscaped communal gardens, while each ‘Sandringham’ apartment comes complete with allocated parking.

All new homes at Beresford Grove are finished to a high standard specification, including central heating, double-glazing and fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

Two-bedroom apartments are available to view now at the development, along with the beautifully decorated ‘Balmoral’ show house.

Beresford Grove enjoys a handy location less than a mile from Oldbury town centre, which boasts a wealth of high street shops, pubs and eateries, while an even wider range of shopping and leisure facilities can be found in nearby Dudley.

Birmingham city centre lies only five miles from home and can be easily reached by car or public transport, with buses running every 10 minutes and a choice of railway stations with frequent services to Birmingham Snow Hill and New Street within walking distance of the development.

Commuters will appreciate that Junctions 1 and 2 of the M5 are only a short drive away, providing quick links to the M6, the M42 and the M40, while the Midland Metro tram link makes journeys to Wolverhampton and Birmingham even easier. For those travelling further afield, Birmingham International Airport is just over 20 miles away.

To find out how much they can save, first-time buyers should visit Beresford Grove Sales Centre, off Seymour Road, Oldbury, and open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm.
