Brand new four-bedroom homes cost up to £50,000 less than their second-hand equivalent at Taylor Wimpey’s Dovedale Park development of property for sale in Swadlincote.

Savvy Derbyshire property-seekers can now purchase a brand new family-sized home at Taylor Wimpey’s Dovedale Park development of houses for sale in Swadlincote for tens of thousands of pounds less than a local second-hand property.

The leading housebuilder is offering beautiful four-bedroom houses in Swadlincote from just £189,995 – an amazing saving of more than £50,000 on the average cost of an older property of a similar size.

Meanwhile, qualifying first-time buyers can choose a three-bedroom semi-detached ‘Barwell’ property in Swadlincote from as little as £107,950* through the Easy Start shared equity scheme – saving more than £40,000.

Carl Cooke, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “When you compare the prices at Dovedale Park with those of the local second-hand property market it’s incredible to see how much homebuyers can save by purchasing Taylor Wimpey properties in Swadlincote.

“Choosing a brand new home over old also means Swadlincote property-seekers have the opportunity to put their own personal stamp on their new place, rather than having to put up with the decor and DIY projects of previous owners – plus there’s no expensive or time-consuming maintenance to worry about.

“Dovedale Park’s setting is another big draw for buyers, as it’s on the doorstep of The National Forest, meaning residents can be exploring beautiful woodland trails within moments of leaving home.”

Under Easy Start, all the purchaser has to do is find a deposit for 5%, subject to status, and Taylor Wimpey’s appointed independent financial advisor will help arrange a mortgage covering 80% of the price.

The housebuilder will then provide the remaining 15% equity in the form of an interest-free loan, which can be repaid in up to three instalments over a 10-year period at the market value of the property when payments are made.

Dovedale Park is located in Woodville, a busy village with a convenient range of local shops, a post office, schools and a selection of restaurants.

The village will benefit from new bus services and cycleway routes, while a new link road to the south will serve the development along with traffic-free pedestrian networks.

Swadlincote town centre is just under two miles away and the town boasts a wealth of shops, restaurants, bars, parks and leisure facilities including Swadlincote Ski and Snowboard Centre and Sharpe's Pottery Centre, a visitor attraction based on the town's pottery heritage.

Swadlincote is within easy reach of schools for children of all ages, while commuters will appreciate that the M42, M6 and M1 are close by and direct rail services operate from Burton upon Trent railway station to Birmingham and Nottingham.

Great family days out within easy reach include Conkers Discovery Centre, less than two miles from the development, while the beautiful National Trust Calke Abbey and its National Nature Reserve are only six miles away. Further afield, the delights of the Peak District are within 30 miles.

To find out more about the great-value homes for sale at Dovedale Park customers can visit the showhomes and Sales Centre in Woodville Road, Swadlincote, DE11 8FH, open Thursday to Monday from 11am until 5pm.
