The children get stuck in to planting the trees

Peveril Homes had some special visitors to its development in Etwall, when the eco-council from Etwall Primary School turned up to Appletree Meadow, ready to get their hands dirty. Invited by the local house builder, the pupils couldn’t wait to get stuck into planting some apple trees on site.

The scheme will feature 22 new homes in Etwall and, situated on the edge of a conservation area, the local environment is an important part of the community. The children were eager to do their part; from digging the holes to patting down the soil, they made sure the job was done properly.

Angela Thomas, sales manager for Peveril Homes, comments: “We were delighted to welcome the school’s eco-council to our development. Both parties recognise the importance of looking after the environment and planting trees was a gesture that the new community here will be able to enjoy for years to come.”

Kate Warburton, teacher and head of the eco-council at Etwall Primary School, said: “We were excited to accept the invitation from Peveril Homes. Our eco-council is charged with spearheading all of our environmentally friendly activity and it was nice for them to get a chance to put that into practice by planting the apple trees, which they really enjoyed.”

Featuring a range of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom new homes in Etwall, there are properties at Appletree Meadow to suit all types of purchasers. To top it off, the location really is fantastic. This select community is part of an established village and all local amenities are just a walk away including schools, a brand new leisure centre, pubs, shops, take-aways and a restaurant.

And you couldn’t be better placed to access the county’s capital city, with Derby just 8 miles* away by road. For travel further afield the A50 and A38 give quick and easy links to the UK’s road network.
