Why rent when you can buy your own home in Stoke

Escape the rental trap to a home of your own in Stoke with help from Redrow.
The award-winning housebuilder is offering to make homeownership at Water’s Edge in Hanley more affordable with its ‘easi:buy’ scheme. Designed to help those who would otherwise be priced out of the property market, the valuable incentive enables purchasers to defer paying up to 15% of the price of selected properties.
Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), commented: “Our ‘easi:buy’ incentive is a great way for those starting out in life to get a foot onto the property ladder and has already helped a number of people buy homes at Water’s Edge.
“All too often one of the biggest barriers to homeownership is the level of deposit required, especially as potential purchasers can struggle to save money while paying rent. With ‘easi:buy’ customers should only need to raise a 5% deposit, which could work out at as little as £3,103 to buy a one-bedroom apartment. Buyers may even find that the mortgage repayments are less than the rent they would pay for a similar sized property.”
A one-bedroom apartment on the market at £72,995 at Water’s Edge could be snapped up for an initial outlay of just £62,046 with ‘easi:buy’.
The outstanding balance can be repaid at any time over the next 10 years when the purchaser has more funds available or when they come to resell. The ‘easi:buy’ payment is subject to terms and conditions and the deferred element is paid back at market value at the time of payment.
“Buying a home is a big decision and can seem daunting, but our team of professional, experienced sales consultants are here to help every step of the way. They will guide customers through the home buying process, making it as simple and straight forward as possible. And as the apartments are ‘build complete’ and simply waiting for the finishing touches that help turn a house into a home, buyers could find they are able to move in within just six weeks,” Elaine explained.
Water’s Edge also includes two-bedroom apartments, plus three and four-bedroom family homes. Those with a property to sell may find that Redrow is willing to take it off their hands as part payment for a brand new one.
Selected properties enjoy views over the waterway – a branch of the Trent & Mersey Canal – offering residents the opportunity to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern living. The homes at Water’s Edge are just a short journey from the centre of Hanley and are well placed for commuting with easy access to the M6.
To help customers understand ‘easi:buy’ and part-exchange, Redrow has produced easy to follow video guides to the incentives. The footage can be viewed via the award-winning online television channel: redrow.tv
