A traditional Easter for residents at Boughton Hall

A traditional Easter egg hunt is kicking off the Easter celebrations at Boughton Hall in Chester.

The Hall – now a retirement community consisting of privately owned apartments and shared clubhouse style facilities – offers the perfect backdrop for the age-old game. Nestled in three and a half acres of manicured grounds, the carpet of daffodils, carefully arranged seating and willow screen provide lots of hidey holes for chocolate treats.

Residents, their friends and families and visitors are being invited to join in the fun on Easter Saturday. All proceeds from the event, running between 11am and 2pm, will be donated to Barnardo’s, which retains an interest in the Hall, formerly a children’s home.

Those who prefer to celebrate in a more sedate manner can enjoy watching the fun over coffee and home-made cakes. There will also be a raffle in aid of the charity.

Boughton Hall, in Filkins Lanes, Chester, is a purpose-built community with extensive shared facilities including a bar, lounge, gym, restaurant and salon. A range of one and two bedroom apartments is available priced from £199,950.
