New homes are ready and waiting in Altrincham

Homebuyers in Altrincham could find that moving day is closer than they think thanks to Redrow.
A selection of properties at The Willows, part of the popular Stamford Brook venture, are now ‘build complete’ and waiting for the finishing touches that help turn a house into a home.
Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), commented: “The two-bedroom homes at The Willows are great for first time buyers and young professionals who want easy access to Manchester city centre but don’t want to pay the hefty city centre prices. Boasting high specification interiors, including fashionable kitchens with the convenience of integrated top brand name appliances, plus tall units and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage, the properties are ready to move into when you are.”
Prices start from £169,995 for a two-bedroom ‘Fern’ style property, similar to the show home.
The ‘Fern’ features an open plan kitchen and dining room plus separate lounge, with two spacious bedrooms and a family bathroom that enjoys quality fixtures and fittings.
There’s also a choice of three-bedroom properties, on the market from £235,000.
Redrow has calculated that it could cost up to £30,000 to bring an older, second hand property up to the same high standard of one of its stylish new homes.
“Savvy buyers understand that while an older property may come with a smaller price tag, it may need lots of repairs and renovations. The cost of installing a new kitchen, appliances and bathrooms plus energy efficient heating, replacement windows and a whole host of other features soon adds up. By purchasing a new home instead of an older second hand property, house hunters could save themselves a small fortune in DIY costs, not to mention time and energy,” Elaine explained.
“To fit a kitchen to match the same high quality as those seen in our new homes would cost more than £6,000, plus you would have the inconvenience of not being able to use your kitchen while the work is carried out.”
For those who want somewhere larger, The Elms phase of Stamford Brook includes four-bedroom homes priced from £275,995.
Set in a semi-rural location, Stamford Brook offers the best of both worlds. Woodland walkways and greenways are part of the development; yet the homes enjoy easy access to local amenities with a supermarket just a stone’s throw away. Manchester city centre is easily reached and there’s good motorway access to other cities, including Chester and Liverpool, making it a great choice for commuters.
The ‘Fern’ show home at The Willows is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
