Top reliability for Suzuki by Warranty Direct

14th April 2011 Print

In the latest Warranty Direct Survey, Suzuki’s renowned reputation for reliability has again been reinforced with another strong result for the brand, scoring 41.00 in the UK Reliability index. The lower the number, the more reliable the brand, and Suzuki’s was considerably lower than the average score of all 36 manufacturers in the survey which was 100.

The UK Reliability index takes into account all factors of a repair; the cost of parts as well as the frequency of failures and Suzuki cars with an average age of 4.5 years were off the road for a total of just 1.67 hrs and in overall third place in the survey.

Suzuki’s low cost of ownership was also highlighted with the previous generation Alto of around 4.2 years old ranked as the cheapest car to repair at £96.20 with an average time off the road of less than one hour and a reliability index score of just 7.00, the second lowest of 100 cars surveyed.

Suzuki’s latest Alto City car; launched in March 2009 and available from £7,820 continues the reputation of low cost of ownership as one of the cheapest cars to run in the UK with group 1E insurance classification, 64mpg combined fuel consumption and £20 annual VED.
