Rolls-Royce 200EX to debut at Salon Prive

26th June 2009 Print
The latest of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ ‘Experimental Vehicles’ – the breathtaking 200EX – will make its UK public debut at Salon Prive, the ultimate luxury and super car show that runs from 22-24 July, at London’s Hurlingham Club.

This will be the first public display of 200EX in Europe, following its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, in February 2009, and is part of a limited world tour that sees the car visit just six locations around the world.

The car is the experimental forerunner to the new Ghost model that will begin production at Goodwood later this year. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Chief Executive Officer, Tom Purves, has already confirmed that the Ghost will be powered by a 6.6-litre, turbocharged V12 engine producing over 500BHP.

There is significant customer interest in the Ghost and potential customers will get a chance to see the inspiration behind that car at Salon Prive. Also in attendance will be Design Projects Leader, Alan Sheppard, who will be on hand to offer visitors a unique insight into the process of designing a modern Rolls-Royce.

Said Salon Prive co-founder, David Bagley: “We’re honoured to be chosen to host the 200EX UK public debut and to be one of the few worldwide venues on the 200EX global tour. Rolls-Royce evidently sees merit in the audience that Salon Prive delivers”.

This year’s Salon Prive is expected to be the biggest yet, with ticket demand higher than ever, driven by an unprecedented number of super and luxury car debuts and an extensive Concours d’ Elégance.

Best Value Hospitality in Town

For three days and nights, Salon Prive will transform the gardens of London’s Hurlingham Club, with 50 of the most exclusive super cars and 60 of the rarest cars classic cars creating one of London’s social highlights and a motoring occasion unlike any other.

With all-inclusive hospitality tickets from £125.00 per person, Salon Prive also provides a luxury experience on a par with the other big events of the social calendar, but for up to a third of the cost of some other events.

Each Salon Prive ticket includes full access to the Super Car Lawn and Concours d’Elégance, unlimited Pommery Champagne and complimentary bar throughout the day, lobster luncheon with wine, afternoon tea and an event programme. Thursday 23 July is ‘Salon Prive Ladies’ Day’, with both day and evening in support of The Prince’s Trust.
