Vauxhall will be showcasing its private collection of historic cars to the public for one day only on Sunday, June 12.
 
This year, the Vauxhall Heritage Centre’s annual open day, will coincide with the Luton Festival of Transport.  A range of cars will be on display dating back to the Prince Henry, the first true sports car, which celebrates its centenary in 2011.  There will be an opportunity to see the just launched, striking new VXR8.
 
Based at the Heritage Centre in Park Street, Luton, with free entry, visitors will be able to view the company’s collection of over 50 Vauxhall veteran, vintage and classic cars including a number of unique concept cars.
 
Vauxhall has a wide range of cars in the collection ranging from the first Vauxhall of 1903 through to the popular classics such as the Chevette HSR, Astra MK2 GTE and the popular Lotus Carlton, the Heritage Collection is carefully preserved by our dedicated heritage team who ensure the cars are kept fully roadworthy and in fine fettle!
 
The Vauxhall Heritage Centre is certainly worth a visit with the latest ground-up restoration, the 1975 Vauxhall HP Firenza ‘Droop Snoot’, making its debut.
 
There will be entertainment during the day for all the family, including the Vectra BTCC racing simulator plus some activities for the children.
 
The open day will run from 10am to 5pm with activities throughout the day between the Vauxhall Heritage Centre and the Luton Festival of Transport at Stockwood Park – fantastic for all car enthusiasts, and a great family day out!
