Homebuyer Elaine Moss is delighted with her new place at Taylor Wimpey’s Blenheim Grange development of new homes in Norfolk.

Quality of life and value for money mean Elaine Moss is well and truly living the Norfolk property dream.

The 63-year-old retiree has relocated from Upminster in Essex to Taylor Wimpey’s desirable Blenheim Grange development of houses for sale in Norfolk in the idyllic village community of Carbrooke, near Watton.

She moved into her four-bedroom ‘Malbury’ detached house in the summer of 2010, and eight months later, Elaine is still pinching herself over how well things have worked out for her with her new property in Norfolk.

“The value for money you get at Blenheim Grange is outstanding,” she says, reflecting on the purchase of her new home at the sought-after development of property for sale in Norfolk.

“I’ve moved from a three-bedroom terraced house in Essex, to a stunning new four-bedroom detached house, and have money left over to spare.

“I love the house, it’s spacious, light and airy – it’s just perfect. I’ve got a wonderful lounge with French doors that open through to the garden, a separate dining room and even a study.
“The sun always shines on my patio for the whole of the day and it’s wonderful to sit there and enjoy the peace and quiet. In fact, the only noise around here comes from the birds in the mature trees at the front of the development!

“I was told that it would take time for wildlife to visit my garden, as it’s so new, but I’ve already had some lovely wild birds here, including the odd robin.”

A regular visitor to Norfolk to see family before her move, the county’s charm shows no signs of wearing off for Elaine.

“I just love the region,” she says. “Wherever I travel, I find I am driving through some beautiful countryside, past open fields and under wide-open skies.

“Whenever I go back to Essex it seems so built up and claustrophobic there that it’s a relief to come home again.

“I have family an hour away on the coast, I love chugging along the Norfolk Broads in a boat and the ancient Wayland Wood is only a mile away.

“As for shopping, Norwich is great for a day out, but Watton has everything I need for week-to-week living, including Tesco and Co-op supermarkets and a branch of Boots.”

Elaine has also been touched by the friendliness of the locals she has encountered since moving north.

She says: “Everybody has been brilliant – they are such friendly people around here.

“My neighbours have time for each other, for example, there’s a couple in their 20s a couple of doors down and they popped round to make sure I was okay when we had a lot of snow.

“It also feels very safe in the area, even to walk around at night, which is something I wouldn’t dream of doing back in Essex.”

A range of spacious new four-bedroom detached houses is available to purchase at Blenheim Grange, including the ‘Malbury’, from only £194,995, the ‘Hainford’ from as little as £219,995 and the ‘Shalford’ from £224,995. A new phase of two and three bedroom homes has just been launched with the two-bedroom ‘Ardleigh’ coach house-style apartment priced from just £116,995.

All new homes at Blenheim Grange are completed to a high standard specification, including central heating, double glazing and fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

To find out more about a leading quality of life at Blenheim Grange, house-hunters can visit the Sales Information Centre, located off Norwich Road, between Watton and Carbrooke, and open Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm and Mondays from 1.30pm to 5pm.
