Visitors were treated to top tips from celebrity interior designer Linda Barker during the launch of Linden Homes’ Howden show home at the weekend.

Linda added a extra touch of glamour and style to the show home opening at the King Edgars development, where she chatted with home hunters and revealed some design tricks of the trade to potential buyers.

Crowds flocked to the development, greeted not only by Changing Rooms legend Linda, and the Linden Homes sales team – but by local town crier Michael Wood.

Linden Homes’ connections and marketing manager Gizzy Murray said: “Linda was fabulous and it was a joy to have her join us at the show home launch. She really liked the show home and its interior design, and took the time to chat with visitors who were keen to grab an autograph or get a little design know-how from the expert,

“We also celebrated two reservations during the weekend, which has renewed the buzz already created by the development.”

The first two-bedroom homes have been reserved at the development, where customers have taken the advantage buying their dream from off plan.

The development will boast 54 two, three and four-bedroom homes with the first due for completion this summer.

Prices currently range from £134,950 for a two-bedroom mid terrace home to £219,950 for a three-bedroom detached.

King Edgar’s Court marks the latest in a series of new developments planned for the East Yorkshire area – predominately close to York and Hull - as part of Linden Homes’ long-term expansion project.

The homes will be built within the shadows of the 18th century St Peter and St Paul Minster Church, one of the many local landmarks.
