First time buyers make the wide decision to buy at Stour Croft

With a report detailing that the combination of steady house prices and the rising cost of renting, it’s once again cheaper to buy a property, which will come as welcome news for first time buyers in Sudbury as houses at Persimmon Homes’ Stour Croft development are priced extremely competitively to allow young purchasers to buy their first home with relative financial ease.

“With interest rates continuing to remain low, monthly mortgage repayments are reported to be 10.5 per cent less than rental figures,” states Jon Gibbs, sales director for Persimmon Homes Anglia. He adds: “This is being reflected in Sudbury as we’re seeing a great number of new visitors to our Stour Croft development, all looking to take their first step onto the property ladder instead of being caught out in the rental market.”

Stour Croft hosts a wide selection of two, three and four bedroom properties, and selected plots are still eligible for the Government-led HomeBuy Direct scheme.

Jon continues: “We are the only new build developer in the immediate area and therefore the only place househunters can take advantage of the extremely successful 70 per cent shared equity HomeBuy Direct scheme. This means homebuyers can purchase one of our beautiful two bedroom properties from just £101,465.”

Due to the affordability of the development, househunters are being urged to visit the development sooner rather than later as the last phase has just been released for sale and interest in the remaining homes is already high.

Currently available to first time buyers at Stour Croft is a collection of two bedroom Adlington and slightly differing Chiswick housetypes. Both come complete with a welcoming entrance hallway, kitchen, living room with informal dining area and French doors to the rear garden and guest cloakroom on the ground floor, while upstairs there are the two sizeable bedrooms, storage cupboards and the relaxing family bathroom.

The nearby picturesque town of Sudbury offers an abundance of local amenities including shops, restaurants and pubs as well as leisure facilities and a monthly farmers market. The development itself is situated ideally for those wanting to commute, with Colchester just a short drive away via the A13.

If you are interested in the properties available at Stour Croft, please contact the marketing suite open Thursday to Sunday from 10.30am to 5.30pm and on Monday from 11.30am to 5.30pm.
