Staffordshire new homes venture nears sell-out

Homebuyers must hurry if they want to snap up one of the final properties available at Redrow’s popular Water’s Edge venture in Stoke on Trent.
With just six homes yet to sell, the award-winning housebuilder will soon be celebrating a sell-out. But despite the limited availability, there’s still a good choice of properties available ranging from two-bedroom apartments to three and four-bedroom family homes.
Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), explained: “The choice of quality built homes on offer at Water’s Edge has helped make it a success by providing something for almost every buyer and budget. Now that we’re fast approaching the end of the development time really is of the essence for anyone who is hoping to purchase a brand new home that’s easy to manage and efficient to run.”
Prices range from £105,000 for a two-bedroom apartment to £159,995 for a four-bedroom ‘Trent’ style home. They all boast convivial open plan layouts, kitchens with the convenience of integrated top brand name appliances and bathrooms that feature quality fixtures and fittings.
In a recent survey commissioned by Redrow one in five people thought £5,000 would be enough to bring an older property up to the same standard of a new home, when in fact Redrow has demonstrated that it could cost tens of thousands of pounds.
“People often buy an old house to ‘fix up’ because they think they can’t afford a brand new one, but our figures show it can be a false economy,” Elaine added
“We’ve calculated that installing a new kitchen and bathrooms, redecorating throughout, installing a new heating system, replacing windows and other items in a typical three-bedroom home could easily add up to £30,000.”
The three and four-bedroom homes are perfect for those who want to move up the property ladder to a bigger, better brand new home. Buyers may even find that Redrow is willing to take their existing property off their hands as part-payment for a brand new home.
For those who want somewhere smaller, the apartments offer a stylish solution to modern living.
“The affordable price of the apartments means that they are ideal starter homes, particularly for those who are tired of wasting their hard-earned cash on rent. They are also well suited to buyers who are starting out after a change of circumstances, such as divorce, and empty nesters who want to downsize to a more manageable home,” Elaine commented.
