Record sales at Skoda over the first quarter of 2007

With 60,665 Skoda vehicles sold, March 2007 has become the most successful month in the entire history of Skoda Auto. Compared with last year, the sales have grown by 14.8% and the last year's growth trend at Skoda Auto continues.

On top of that, Skoda Auto achieved the highest-ever quarterly sales figures over the first quarter of 2007: from January till March 2007, the Company sold 149,926 Fabias, Octavias, Roomsters and Superbs, thus increasing its sales by 15.5% as compared with the first quarter of 2006.

The new Skoda Fabia had a world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle is now being launched in the Czech Republic and Germany, with other countries to follow soon. Considering the positive reactions in Geneva, the new Fabia is likely to be a successful successor to the first-generation model.

Skoda Auto has become stronger in all of the regions of its presence: the Company's sales have grown by 14.7% in Western Europe and by 7.8% and 50.4% in Central and Eastern Europe, respectively.
