Skoda Fabia wins its first Car of the Year award

Skoda Fabia The new Skoda Fabia has become the Car of the Year 2007 in Serbia. The title is the first important award for the new vehicle made by the Mladá Boleslav-based manufacturer.

Launched in the Czech Republic and other key European markets, the second-generation Fabia has won the prestigious title in a traditional survey held on the occasion of the Belgrade Motor Show. Reviewed by journalists, technical university teachers and motor sport drivers, the Skoda Fabia got 70% of the votes, beating all of its main competitors from Europe and Asia.

The Car of the Year award is already the third great achievement for the Skoda brand in Serbia - the Skoda Superb and the Skoda Octavia (2nd generation) won the award in the previous years. Auto?a?ak, the Skoda Auto importer in Serbia, has sold nearly 15,000 Skoda vehicles in Serbia over the last six years, of which over three thousand in each of the last two years.
