Skoda rally legend to appear at Festival of Speed

There’s a real treat in store for any rally fans at this years Goodwood Festival of Speed. John Haugland, who took Skodas to a record number of high-profile rally victories in the ‘60s and ‘70’s, will be back behind the wheel of a vintage, fully restored Skoda 130RS rally car.

The Norwegian ace will be running his own RS in the event on Saturday 23 June, and he will doubtless be putting a few younger drivers in newer cars to shame. After all, he was a Skoda works driver nearly 20 years and had over 100 class wins during his impressive career.

Haugland is delighted to be appearing at Goodwood in his stunning 130RS: “The Festival of Speed is one of my favourite events and it’s fantastic to be there in my Skoda, which was such a competitive car in its heyday.”
