Record profits so far in 2007 for Skoda

Altogether, 462,400 vehicles were delivered to customers in the first nine months of ’07 – 13% more than in Jan–Sep 2006. Monetarily, Skoda's sales thus far in 2007 have totalled £4.25 billion. Pre-tax profits also showed healthy growth. Compared to the same period of last year, the company’s profits grew by 39.3%, reaching £370million (the total achieved in all of 2006).
The Octavia remains Skoda’s best-selling model. Nearly 170,000 Octavias were delivered to customers over the first three quarters of 2007 – 12.3% more than the same period of last year. The Roomster also looks strong, with 47,183 vehicles sold thus far in 2007.
