Skoda achieves record international sales in 2007 Skoda delivered 630,032 vehicles to its customers worldwide in 2007 – that’s a 14.5% increase on the previous year and the firm’s best ever sales results.

In Western Europe, Skoda delivered 327,222 cars, thus increasing its market share to 2.2%.

Skoda improved its position in the Czech market also with 64,306 newly registered vehicles in 2007 - 1.0% more than in 2006.

In Eastern Europe, 95,032 vehicles were delivered to customers pushing sales up by 34% compared to the previous year. Russia contributed to the sales volume with 25,535 vehicle sales, almost doubling their results from 2006.

Further East, the Chinese market surpassed all expectations. The Octavia was launched in June 2007, and over 27,000 vehicles were delivered by the end of the year.

The Octavia remains the best selling model with 237,422 Octavia’s sold in total around the world - 18% more than the previous year. The growth of the Roomster continues with 66,661 deliveries to customers. The Fabia sold 232,890 units worldwide and Superb sales remain consistent at 20,530 vehicles.
