Taylor Wimpey launches FirstBuy in Sussex

Selected new homes at Taylor Wimpey’s Gainsborough Place development of property for sale in Wivelsfield and its Vibe development of apartments for sale in Haywards Heath are now available with the Government’s FirstBuy initiative for first-time buyers.

Fast-moving first-time buyers can get help to step on the property ladder with the Government’s new FirstBuy scheme at Taylor Wimpey developments of property to buy in Sussex.

This fantastic initiative lets qualifying purchasers secure their new home for just 80% of the full purchase price – including a deposit as low as 5% – and is available now with selected properties at the leading housebuilder’s Vibe development of flats for sale in Haywards Heath, and its Gainsborough Place development of apartments for sale in Wivelsfield.

Under the FirstBuy scheme, one lucky purchaser could secure the one-bedroom Plot 1 property in Haywards Heath at Vibe, priced £139,995, with a deposit of only £7,000 and a mortgage of just £111,996.

Alternatively, the two-bedroom ‘Swanley House’ property to buy in Wivelsfield at Plot 11 of Gainsborough Place, priced £169,995, is available under the initiative with an £8,500 deposit and a mortgage of only £127,497.

FirstBuy works through a joint loan of 20% from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey, which means that eligible purchasers only need put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage.

The loan is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first-time buyers and their total household earnings should be less than £60,000.
