Dad splashes out!

A Norwich-based businessman paid a total of £17,000 for the personalised registration 1 HFH – for his five week old son.

The successful bidder, who wished to remain anonymous, bought the registration during the second day of the DVLA Personalised Registrations summer auction being held at the Williams F1 Conference Centre in Oxfordshire.

He said: “When I was told 1 HFH was being auctioned I just had to have it. It’s a great investment, though to be truthful I don’t think it’ll ever be sold. I’m just going to keep it for my son, it’ll be his on the day he’s old enough to have his own car.”
