Skoda welcomes government scrappage scheme

24th April 2009 Print
Skoda has welcomed the government’s vehicle scrappage scheme. The scheme, which will replace older, polluting cars with safer, reduced-emissions models, fits perfectly with Skoda’s range of customer-friendly models.

Robert Hazelwood, Skoda UK Brand Director, said, “Anything that stimulates consumer demand for new car sales is positive. We look forward to understanding the detail from the government as soon as possible. Overall, it’s a great deal for customers – helping more people to get into modern cars that are safer, greener and more economical to run. Skoda has the ideal range of cars to meet customers’ needs and we’ve already had a lot of interest.”

Skoda, the manufacturer of happy drivers, has been named the Top Manufacturer in the 2009 Auto Express Driver Power Survey of customer satisfaction.

The Skoda range, from the supermini Fabia to the top-of-the-range Superb, fit the needs of a wide range of family transportation needs. Greenline editions of Fabia, Octavia and Superb combine Skoda’s outstanding value for money with even lower environmental impact, with CO2 emissions of only 109 g/km.

Safety is equally important to Skoda, with even the entry-level Fabia having driver, passenger and side airbags as standard.

Customers are encouraged to register their interest at skoda.co.uk.
