HomeBuy Direct now available in Bedford

First-time buyers in Bedford will be delighted to hear that selected properties at Orbit Homes’ Aspire development are now available under the government-funded HomeBuy Direct scheme.

HomeBuy Direct makes home ownership more affordable and gives aspiring buyers the opportunity to buy the home that they want with the help of an equity loan of up to 30% of the purchase price. The equity loan, which is provided jointly by Orbit Homes and the Government, is interest free for the first five years. The scheme is open to those with a household income of less than £60,000 and who cannot afford to buy a home on the open market without assistance.

The first homes under the HomeBuy Direct scheme will be ready for occupation in late Autumn and reservations are being taken now. The scheme will allow lucky buyers to purchase a new home at Aspire for as little as 70% of the purchase price. Selected homes are available under the scheme including the 2-bedroom ‘Holly’ priced from just £101,497 and the 3–bedroom ‘Rowan’ from just £118,997.

All homes at Aspire are built to a high specification including a contemporary fitted kitchen with stainless steel oven, hob, and splash back, integrated fridge freezer, ground floor cloak room, family bathroom, gas central heating and allocated parking or garage (garage available on selected plots only).
