Follow Rick Stein's footsteps in Andalucia

Casa La Siesta

Keen followers of Rick Stein’s travels will have been watching his current BBC2 programmes, ‘Rick Stein’s Spain’, and next week sees him delighting in the exoticism and earthiness of Andalucian cooking in his BBC2 programme on the 4th August. He clearly loves Seville and its tapas bars so why not stay like him, for a few nights, at the small design hotel of Coral del Rey right in the heart of the old Barrio Alfalfa quarter of the city. Then collect your car and drive to the perfect white hill town of Vejer to stay four nights at the beautifully reconstructed and chic hacienda hotel, Casa La Siesta.

To follow his footsteps try the Casa Matias near Plaza de Toros in Seville, a truly authentic Flamenco bar that he stumbles across. Visit the El Pes Quero, a fish restaurant in the Mercado del Arenal area also in Seville, and try out his recipe for   Cuttlefish balls in a curry-spiced tomato sauce when you get home to see how yours compares. .

Besides the usual guide book and map we will give a free copy of ‘Rick Stein’s Spain’ to anyone booking one of our Andalucía hotels before August 31st 2011.

Example package; for three nights at Coral del Ray, and four nights at Casa La Siesta, with easyjet flights and five days car hire, the price in September starts at £1,099 per person, based on two people sharing.
