Alison finds her perfect property in Woking

Downsizer Alison Jones is living the American dream after moving to Taylor Wimpey’s Pinnacles development of apartments for sale in Woking.
When Alison Jones downsized her home to fund an investment property in America, she was delighted to discover a move to Taylor Wimpey’s Pinnacles development of new homes for sale in Woking meant she could have a pad to be proud of on this side of The Pond.
The 41-year-old Sales Manager bought a two-bedroom ‘Croft’ apartment at the leading housebuilder’s new community of flats for sale in Woking to free up some cash for a property in Florida.
And, although she has downsized from her home in St John’s village on the outskirts of the commuter town, Alison is thrilled with the space her new Woking property affords.
“Downsizing is often associated with sacrificing space, but I’m really happy in my new apartment,” says Alison. “The rooms are very spacious, and both of the bedrooms are a very good size – and that’s something I thought I may have to compromise on when buying a property for sale in Woking.
“I also like the fact a new-build home means I don’t have the hassle and expense of having to maintain or upgrade it. Plus, I was able to have my own finishing touches put into the flat by using Taylor Wimpey’s range of Options, including tiling throughout the flat.
“The building the homes are located in is also very attractive, and although you are in an apartment, thanks to the sound-proofing, it’s very, very quiet inside.”
Alison was also pleased with the price of her ‘Croft’ apartment, adding: “As far as value for money goes, I had a good look around the area and couldn’t find anything like what was being offered at Pinnacles.”
Alison’s search also concluded that the location Pinnacles enjoys, in popular Maybury Hill, is also hard to beat.
“It’s on the edge of the town, rather than in the thick of it, so it’s handy for popping in, but also near to the great open spaces we have here,” she says.
“Pyrford Common is minutes away, which is great for walking and cycling, plus there are two golf clubs in the area. The Basingstoke Canal towpath is also nearby, which is also popular with cyclists and walkers.
“I’m also just a 10-minute walk from Woking railway station, where the fast train can get you in to Waterloo within 20 minutes, while in the other direction you can travel to Guildford, Farnham and on to Bournemouth.”
Just two new apartments are now available to buy at Pinnacles, the two-bedroom duplux apartments at Plots 31 and 42, each priced £329,995.
In addition to its close proximity to the railway station, the gated Pinnacles development is within easy reach of the M25, M3 and A3, while Heathrow Airport is just a short drive away.
Woking itself boasts a wealth of choice for shopping, entertainment and leisure, with two modern shopping centres, a multi-screen cinema, the New Victoria Theatre, first-class sporting facilities and a multitude of restaurants, pubs and bars.
