First time buyers don’t need to scrimp and save to step on the property ladder in Stoke on Trent, where around £6,000 could be enough to secure a brand new apartment.

The low deposit, affordable price and the chance to defer paying a percentage of the price make the Redrow apartments at Water’s Edge an attractive prospect for those who are starting out in life. But with limited availability, those who want to call the popular development ‘home’ should act fast to avoid disappointment.

Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), commented: “Research by the Halifax suggests that a third of non-homeowners have a realistic plan to buy a home of their own in the next five years, but the affordability of our apartments could mean they are able to move sooner than they expected. It’s also great news for those who want to buy but are reluctant to sacrifice their lifestyle to save a large cash deposit.”

Buyers with savings of £5,500 could find they have enough to secure one of the final four apartments at Water’s Edge in Hanley.

Two-bedroom apartments are available from £110,000 and Redrow is offering customers the chance to defer paying up to 20% of the price for up to 10 years with its ‘easi:buy’ incentive. It means that an apartment can be purchased for an initial outlay of just £88,000 – that’s £22,000 below the asking price.

There’s also a pair of four-bedroom family homes available at Water’s Edge, priced from £159,995.

They’re ‘build complete’ and simply waiting for the finishing touches that help turn a house into a home. With none of the repairs or renovations that may be required in an older, second hand property, and no upward chain to hold buyers back from moving, they’re ideal for those who want a quick move.

And to help make moving even easier, the award-winning housebuilder is offering a range of incentives, including part-exchange.

“If you have an existing property to sell you may worry that having to find a buyer will hold you back from moving to brand new home at Water’s Edge, but that doesn’t have to be the case. With part-exchange moving up the property ladder is quick and simple. We buy your current property so you can move up to one of our beautiful brand new homes,” Elaine explained.

To find out how Redrow could help you move to a brand new home, visit Water’s Edge where the sales office is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5.30pm.
