Fast-moving first-time buyers can get help to step on the property ladder with the Government’s new FirstBuy scheme at Taylor Wimpey’s Aura development of new homes for sale in Croydon.

This fantastic initiative lets qualifying purchasers secure their new home for as little as 80% of the full purchase price – including a 75% mortgage and a 5% deposit, subject to status – and it’s available now with selected Croydon apartments at the leading housebuilder’s popular development in Sydenham Road.

For example, the stylish one-bedroom Plot 16 ‘Dunedin Court’ apartment at Aura can be accessed by qualifying purchasers for 80% of its £169,995 purchase price under FirstBuy in Croydon.

Anyone hoping to take advantage of this amazing scheme can get a taste of what life might be like in their choice of new flats for sale in Croydon by visiting the new two-bedroom ‘Dunedin Court’ show apartment now open at Aura.

Fiona Creed, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “We’re delighted to announce that the Government’s new FirstBuy scheme is now available with selected Croydon flats at our sought-after Aura development, offering local first-time buyers a unique opportunity to leave renting behind and step on to the property ladder in style.

“We have already experienced considerable interest in the Croydon FirstBuy scheme and availability is strictly limited, so I would stress to anyone interested in taking advantage of the offer that they must be quick to avoid missing out.”

FirstBuy works through a joint loan of 20% from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey, which means that eligible purchasers only need put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage.

The loan is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first-time buyers and their total household earnings should be less than £60,000.

Aura comprises just 49 apartments set in four and five-storey blocks, offering exclusive contemporary urban living within easy reach of Central London.

The homes feature open-plan kitchen/living rooms providing a superb space for relaxing and entertaining, while many plots benefit from en-suite master bedrooms in addition to a main bathroom, and attractive private balconies.

A John Lewis at home store opened recently in Purley Way, a retail park famed for its big-name stores including Ikea, while the town also boasts a host of restaurants, bars and night-spots.
