Struggling first time buyers in Telford can boost their buying power with the help of a Government-backed scheme.

FirstBuy is available on selected Crest Nicholson properties at Lightmoor Green in Lightmoor Village. It means that eligible purchases can own 100% of a brand new home but pay just 80% now as the remaining share is covered by an equity loan jointly funded by Crest Nicholson and the Homes and Communities Agency.

Prices at Lightmoor Green start from £85,950 for a one-bedroom apartment or £68,760 with FirstBuy.

The incentive is also available on two-bedroom properties and could shave more than £28,000 of the initial purchase price.

For example a two-bedroom Sandhurst style home, for sale on the open market at £142,950, could be purchased for an initial outlay of just £114,360. The loan for the remaining share is interest free for five years.
