After two years of trying to sell their house and countless fruitless viewings, the Rogers family found a solution to their problems and their ideal home just a few miles down the road.

Lisa and David Rogers put their house on the market two years ago when they first started searching for their ideal family home for their two children, Millie, aged seven, and Abby, aged nine, to grow up in.

It wasn’t until Lisa and David visited Taylor Wimpey’s Clarence Court development and took advantage of the housebuilder’s part exchange scheme that the hassle of selling a property was taken out of their hands, allowing them to trade up to a larger home.

The housebuilder bought the family’s old property, cutting out expensive estate agents’ fees and stressful chains and allowing them to concentrate on enjoying their new stylish home in its the peaceful location.

Lisa commented: “Our house had been on the market so long we were starting to think we wouldn’t be able to move.

“Taylor Wimpey’s part exchange scheme took the stress out of moving house and allowed us to focus on packing up the girls’ toys and start thinking about decorating our new home.

“We liked the idea of moving into a new build home within a development that had a good community feel and was close to the local schools.”

Joan Peart, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North East, said: “Clarence Court is popular with families searching for a friendly, rural location with access to a range of amenities.

“The development has a wide variety of properties that will to suit every budget and a choice of deals designed to take the stress out of buying a new property and make moving easier than ever.”
