As a cycling boom continues to grip the UK, more and more people across Staffordshire are getting on their bikes; and nowhere is this more evident than at The Willows in Stone – a Miller Homes development where a cycle path, literally on the doorstep, has proven a big plus for homebuyers.

Situated at Filleybrooks in Stone, The Willows combines rural ambience with an attractive, tree-lined landscape. Based in a convenient location just fifteen minutes from Stafford or Stoke-on-Trent, the development is ideal for families who are on the lookout for a stylish new home.

Homebuyer Christine McIntrye has fully settled into life at the development since she picked up the keys to her new home at The Willows. And according to Christine, the cycle path is a particular hit with her two young children, Thomas and James.

Christine said: “The Willows is perfect for us as the Stone location is very convenient and the development itself is ideal for families such as ours. We love living so close to a cycle path and the boys in particular enjoy spending time riding around on their bikes. We’re a really outdoorsy family, so we use the cycle path to pop to the shops, walk along the canal or go to the park. It’s a real plus to have this facility so nearby, and it means I don’t have to worry about Thomas and James cycling alongside a busy path.”

Ann Crick, sales director for Miller Homes’ West Midlands region, added: “As a County, Staffordshire is well geared up for those who like to get on their bike – whether they’re recreational cyclists or are more serious about the sport. Stone in particular has a thriving cycling scene with a reputable cycling club and a thriving bike shop, so The Willows is the perfect place for bike lovers to call home!

“The development has fast become one of our most popular in the Midlands as it has everything today’s family buyers are looking for. Not only is there a relaxed ambience in and around the development, The Willows is located within a few minutes’ walk of the town centre, where there is an excellent range of shops, and a superb sports centre is less than a mile from the development.

“What’s more, many of the properties at The Willows are available for purchase with some of Miller Homes’ exclusive buying incentives. I would therefore urge anyone interested in buying at The Willows to pay us a visit and find out how we can help you.”

Prices at The Willows currently start £194,950 for a three bed Brunel townhouse. The development also features some of Miller Homes’ most luxurious four and five-bedroom detached properties.

Available on selected plots, MiWay is Miller Homes’ very own equity loan scheme, which allows new buyers to purchase 100 per cent of their home whilst only needing to find finance for 80 per cent of the purchase price. Eligible purchasers who take advantage of MiWay receive a loan from Miller Homes for up to 20 per cent of the purchase price of their selected property, leaving them to arrange a mortgage for the more affordable remaining amount. To further add to its appeal.

Alternatively, MiSwap is Miller Homes’ unique home exchange scheme which allows buyers to swap their old home for a brand new Miller Home, even if there is no difference between the values of the two, subject to qualifying criteria. This marks a radical departure from traditional part exchange exchanges which usually require a home owner to purchase a property worth at least 30 per cent more than their existing home to qualify.
